Auction House Manager
Amy’s lifelong work with art is best described as a passion. She has loved art since she painted her first watercolor picture as a little girl, and since then has attended the Kansas City Art Institute where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Amy’s expertise and eye for detail have proven invaluable for her career in fine art, antiques, and estate management. Her experience is crucial for her appraisal work and allows her to guide clients toward the best options for their possessions.
Since joining the KC Auction Company in 2006 Amy has continued her education in fine art by becoming a member of the Certified Appraisers Guild of America. Her further understanding of appraisal best practices and knowing the subtleties between good and great has benefited hundreds of clients and customers.
Amy still creates artwork of her own, and her talent is regularly commissioned for book and magazine illustrations. She is represented by the Blue Gallery in the Crossroads Arts District. Her abilities and education in fine art go hand in hand for her role within the KC Auction Company team, enabling her to see the value in your items. Amy is also a voracious reader, music lover and enjoys gardening.
