Every object that comes through our doors has a story attached to it — sometimes several. A painting that hung in the same hallway for sixty years. A marionette collection built one careful purchase at a time. A drawing nearly thrown away that turned out to be something else entirely.
This section is where we share those stories: the collectors, the discoveries, and the people whose passion for a particular category — art, coins, textiles, curiosities — shaped what they left behind. If you’re a collector yourself, we hope you’ll see a little of your own story in these pages. And if you’re just starting to build a collection, there’s a lot to learn from the people who came before you.
