At a young age Patti joined in when her family went to farm and yard sales. There she began to learn the nuances of buying and selling furnishings and collectibles. She continued to hone her ability over the years, mastering organization and valuing items as both as a buyer and a seller. Patti learned much of this by helping out at her mother’s antique and consignment shop in Mission, Kansas. She attended Arizona University and graduated from the University of Missouri.
Patti returned to sales by starting her own business, Nichols Estate Sales, with her late husband, Bill. In 1998 her company became Nichols Waterman Estate Sales and operated for 17 years. Now, after 35 years of pricing unique items and conducting hundreds of sales, she brings her talents to the KC Auction Company team. Her wealth of experience makes her a true professional in handling estate liquidation and sales.
Patti works to understand the emotional side of downsizing or dealing with a death in the family. Her focus is on working with families’ personal needs, as is reflected by the amount of referrals connected by the people she’s helped before. Patti is eager to foster good relationships with her clients, just as she has with her long time sorority sisters from Kappa Kappa Gamma, an organization she continues to support today.
