December 10th Political Memorabilia and Antiques Auction

This auction featured an important selection of patriotic and political memorabilia from the collection of William Gnefkow. There were Washington, Truman, Roosevelt, McKinley pieces and so much more. There was also coins, banks and toys, antique showcases, country store pieces, primitives, clocks, advertising pieces including Anheuser Busch/Budweiser and Falstaff pieces, Hollywood photos and autographs, a carousel horse, furniture, an 1880’s Kansas-made cabinet, folk art, local art including Hamil and Frederic James originals, sterling silver, and many more wonderful items.

November 5, 2013 – iGavel Fine Arts and Antiques Online Auction

Some of the highlights of this auction include artwork by Margaret Burroughs (Black Venus), J Nicol, Sandzen (2), John Steuart Curry “Prize Stallions”, a Picasso lithograph, Japanese woodblocks, an aquatint by Georges Rouault, etc. There are several nice Oriental rugs including an unusual example that is signed and dated. Asian antiques include a 41″ carved Quanyen figure, Tang horse, Famille Rose garden seat, an 8 panel porcelain screen, carved table and more. There is a nice group of antique Buddha figures. Several Pre-Columbian items are an interesting late auction addition. Other pieces of note include a Jaeger-LeCoultre Atmos clock, a pair of porcelain, piano playing nodders, a German singing bird, and an incredible silverplate and cut glass centerpiece. There are many lots of sterling and coin silver including G. Jensen, Manchester, a set of Missouri coin silver spoons, and a pair of Sanborns sterling pheasants. Extremely rare Ernest Trova gold jewelry is another fine example of the unique and unusual that adorn this auction.

March 12, 2013 – Tuesday Night Auction

This was a large auction including two partial estates one of which was ”Farm Fresh”!  Furniture included fifteen pieces of antique wicker including Heywod-Wakefield and an extremely ornate “F. A. Whitney” baby carriage, a “Siberia” Oak Icebox by Simmons hardware, industrial carts and lots of cool project furniture.

Antiques included statues, paper ephemera, four cabinets of old type set, crocks, advertising items, automaton store display, tin wind-up toys (Hop A Long, Wonder Cyclist in the original box), miniature oil lamps, Bennington Stoneware, crocks.

 

February, 12 2013 – Tuesday Night Auction

This auction featured very nice furniture, artwork, glass, and pottery.  Antiques included Lots of Wonderful Paper, Victorian Cast Iron Hall Tree, Iron Chairs & Urns, Stacking Oak File Cabinet, Three Fold Floor Mirrio, 1885 Springfield “Trap Door” Gun, 1831 Emancipation Quilt (made in 1964), Old Advertising Bottles.  Also featured was Artwork by Cornell, Smiechowska, Hamil, Pr. of Victorian Wildlife Paintings, Carve Folk Art Rocking Horse, Jack O’Hare Watercolors and JR Hamil prints.

 
This auction featured very nice furniture, glass, pottery, jewelry, artwork and electronics.  Included in the jewelry were 2 diamond solitare rings weighing 1.1 and 1.4 carats respectively and many pieces of gold and silver jewelry including a really cool 14K boat form pin with a Mother of Pearl sail.  Furniture included a wonderful serpentine dresser with harp mounted mirror. The wonderful part of this 1850′s piece is the eagle carved mirror mounts! There is also a nice Victorian Walnut secretary bookcase, a lawyer’s bookcase, several very nice tables, a set of 4 bent wood drafting stools and a truly spectacular and impressive Victorian mirror.

Bailey, Kuneyuna, J. Wagner, Catchi), Victorian Walnut bookcase, lots of 60s-70s modern furniture, a patio set, a nearly new “Jazzy” scooter, furniture, washer and dryer rugs & much more!
